Real Change
Yes a black man will be president I grant you that.
It wasn't the REAL change that should have happened that night.
He didn't destroy McCain like the media wants you to believe. The votes that should matter are the popular votes. The votes of the entire nation, not just the votes of 8 key states. Yes Obama won. But won by 6%.
I'm sure there were a lot more other voters like me who voted Obama because they didn't want Palin (much less McCain) anywhere near the white house.
The real story that night was amending the constitution and taking away people's rights shows the world that America isn't ready for REAL change. People are still deathly scared of change.
"It's not natural!" Wake up people. Animals have sex with both genders in the wild, so obviously it is natural.
"They are going to teach that it's okay to think your friend is more then your friend!" They teach sex education in schools but are they saying "Here's some condoms kids. Have all the sex you want!"?
"But robert, its not traditional!" "Traditional marriage" is defined only by the church. And for those who don't know the history behind their own church: It was founded at the same time other religious groups were forming. Those groups practiced sex before marriage and sex with everyone regardless of the gender. Of course the church wanted to separate themselves from these other groups and thats where "sex before marriage" and "traditional sex between a man and a woman" came from.
But with all the said, what sickness me the most is that people are much more worried about the rights and treatment of animals that are breed for our consumption then the rights and treatment of our fellow humans.
All you Prop 8 supporters sicken me too. Voting because your scared you'll be turned into "one of them gays" or you want the fundamentals of the constitution kept sound. If thats your logic then why stop with same sex marriage? Lets take away other fundamental rights that were fought for:
America may be ready for a black president. But the $73 million put into the Yes on 8 campaign says America isn't ready for REAL change.

- slaves to be free
- people to get divorced

Welcome
Welcome to my blog. I am currently producing political art for my senior show that will run the 3rd week of January 2009 in the North/South Gallery at California College of the Arts. I hope to use this space to easily share my thoughts and ideas prints for feedback and comments leading up to the opening of my show.
The finished pieces will not be posted here until the week after my show. Only the sketches and thoughts will be posted until then to keep the show fresh and new.
